SPEAKERS

DR. AVI TOEGDMD, ORAL MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON

AB INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMIZED IMPLANTS

We will present our 4 years of experience using 3D Technology in oral and
maxillofacial surgery -Trauma, Oncology and Implantology with AB Dental.

DR. AJAY SHARMADMD, MDS, FICOI, DICOI, DWCOI, FICD, FAOI, DAOI, FPFA

MANAGEMENT OF DIVERSE CLINICAL SITUATIONS IN IMPLANT DENTISTRY

Simple patient based factors and effective communication along with blend of right implant system and other armamentarium can majorly simplify complex treatment. Only the satisfied patient can define what successful treatment is and in this presentation we will show with the help of various clinical cases and approaches how patient factors must be understood to have success in clinical treatment plan. Understanding these patient driven factors along with newer armamentarium will help us all clinicians in delivering the treatment to our esteemed patients in more satisfying nature.

AO4 & AO6 – A NEW FUNCTIONAL APPROACH

All at Once protocol was developed to restore edentulous jaws – or those with severely compromised non-restorable teeth. The surgical part consists of
inserting four implants; the posterior ones are tilted in order to avoid the sinus (upper jaw) or the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN, lower jaw), and thus the need of
other complex surgical techniques such as sinus grafting or IAN lateralization.
The prosthetic part consists of a bridge with ten (provisional restoration) or twelve (definitive restoration) teeth connected to the fixtures by multi-unit abutments. In those patients where the bone available is not an issue, six dental implants may be inserted instead of four. Using electronic condylography (CADIAX 4) and a functional protocol, we can restore these complex cases in a reliable and predictable fashion.

DEMANDS IN THE DIGITIZATION OF CONTEMPORARY DENTAL MEDICINE

The optimization of the dental treatments to satisfy all the esthetic and functional demands of the patients requires the extended use of the digital techniques both in diagnostic and therapy. The digitization can be applied in the dental medicine in restorative dentistry, periodontal therapy, prosthetic, implantology, guided
bone regeneration techniques. The digital processing of the radiographic images and the digital processing and assessment of CBCT images are examples of digital techniques that can be used to improve the detection rate of the incipient dental caries, incipient periapical lesions, and incipient alveolar resorption in periodontal pathology. The same procedures are used to check-up the long-term results of the endodontic and periodontal treatments. Expert systems can be used to analyze the clinical and biological indices at baseline and after the pro-prosthetic and pro-implant stages. The use of digital applications can optimize the alveolar bone rehabilitation, the implants positioning (associated to CAD-CAM manufacturing of the surgical guide), the periodontal procedures related to esthetic outcome, the design of the future prosthetic structure as well as the biomechanical factors. The research suggests that the combination of classic procedures and digital techniques increases significantly the rate of the long-term success of the implant-prosthetic therapy. Nowadays the challenge for dentists is to learn the digital technologies and to integrate them into the current daily practice.

IS BRUXISM A RISK FACTOR FOR DENTAL IMPLANT COMPLICATIONS?

During the lecture the issues of complications, occurring after implantoprosthetic treatment in high risk patients, suffering from bruxism, will
be discussed. Indications and contraindications for the use of implant prosthetics in patients suffering from bruxism will be made and the types of possible complications will be presented. Cemented prosthetic restorations or screw-retained restorations are subject to occlusal forces during daily activities and during
sleep. Occlusal forces are extremely dangerous in patients suffering from sleep bruxism, as well as daily bruxism, especially in fixed implantoprosthetics. Pretreatment diagnostics, proper planning and methods of preventing possible complications will be presented.

DR. HENRIETTE LERNERDDS, MD, DICOI, DGOI

3D REHABILITATION PROCESS AND ESTHETICS

The modern treatment philosophy that can be called today: fast and perfect. Principles of Treatment are: predictable, minimally invasive, perfect esthetics in adjacent implant situations and long term maintenance
of the result. The lecture will address the parameter and algorithms concerning:Soft and hard tissue grafting contouring procedures. Prosthetic Planning. Validated digital workflows and applications.

DR. ALEXANDRU PETREDMD

PROSTHETICALLY DRIVEN IMPLANT PLANNING

The lecture treats the issues of surgical and restorative oriented implant planning and challenges in CBCT use for implant planning. Surgical Guides – external vs in-house solutions, a review of available solutions of software – hardware implant planning as well as current limits of implant planning through the author’s experience.

DR. LORELEI NASSARDMD, MD

HANDS-ON SESSION – ALL AT ONCE AND OTHER GUIDED IMPLANT RESTORATIONS

Theoretical approach and workshop on screw retained restoration AB Dental System. Specific prosthetics adaptors presentation for divergent positioned
implant and impression on 3D printed models using open tray method.

DR. MACIEJ MICZEKDMD,MD

IMPLANTOLOGY TODAY. FACTS AND MYTHS. IS PHILOSOPHY NECESSARY / USEFUL IN MEDICAL PROCEDURES?

Modern implantology is changing very dynamically nowadays together with the development of medical knowledge and the improvements in the range
of materials and more and more advanced engineering solutions. What was unthinkable of or criticized and non recommendable, as far as medical procedures are concerned, several years ago , has now become a protocol acknowledged as thoroughly proper. Thanks to the achievements made by engineers, biomechanics, who equip the implantology doctor with new devices
and opportunities, current medical procedures often change radically as compared with those from the Past.
Applying modern techniques makes the doctor`s job and medical procedures performed on the patient minimally traumatic. We, more and more often, take into account the individual anatomical conditions and those individual features of the patient`s organism, which we rate the highest in our job. What is more important? How important is philosophy and doctor`s believes in medical procedures? How far do the myths and opinions influence the doctor`s decision and the protocol he chooses? The lecture will present some medical procedures and cases in the range of, among others: periimplantitis, loading of implants, the choice between cemented crowns and screw crowns which are used in my clinic and my practice.
